After Lucy is found wandering the streets, covered in her best friend Savvy’s blood, everyone thinks she is a murderer. Lucy and Savvy were the golden girls of their small Texas town: pretty, smart, and enviable.

It’s been years since that horrible night, a night Lucy can’t remember anything about, and she has since moved to LA and started a new life.

But now the phenomenally huge hit true crime podcast “Listen for the Lie,” and its too-good looking host Ben Owens, have decided to investigate Savvy’s murder for the show’s second season. Lucy is forced to return to the place she vowed never to set foot in again to solve her friend’s murder, even if she is the one that did it.

Oh how I like a podcaster infiltrated into a thriller novel, especially if he’s cute and wants to solve a crime together with the killer. Well, I don’t think Lucy’s a killer but many in that little town do and I like her grandma so much, grandparents could be so cool.

Anyway, I’m enjoying it and if she ends up with Ben the podcaster… wowowowow. Maybe a new favorite. Spoiler alert: it gets steamy and I’m here for it, nothing like sex and murder in a small town that gets me going.

I really loved this novel, I’ve devoured it before drinking my coffee and I’m a coffee addict, Clearly will read more from Amy Tintera. It was such a vibe! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
