When I’ve seen this book one morning whilst drinking my coffee I couldn’t believe my eyes. Written in big letters was the name of the queen itself: Agatha Christie. Such a beloved author to me. I’ve read all her Hercule Poirot and Jane Marple novels. She was my first brush with mystery thriller novels. Agatha Christie is such a smart author, I’ve watched the movies and the tv series and you bet I’ve went to see A Haunting in Venice, which was screening this September. It’s easy to see how excited I am that people are giving her attention once again!

A brand new collection of short stories featuring the Queen of Crime’s legendary detective Jane Marple, penned by twelve remarkable bestselling and acclaimed authors.

This collection of twelve original short stories, all featuring Jane Marple, will introduce the character to a whole new generation. Each author reimagines Agatha Christie’s Marple through their own unique perspective while staying true to the hallmarks of a traditional mystery.

Featuring stories from Naomi Alderman, Leigh Bardugo, Alyssa Cole, Lucy Foley, Elly Griffiths, Natalie Haynes, Jean Kwok, Val McDermid, Karen M. McManus, Dreda Say Mitchell, Kate Mosse and Ruth Ware.

Oh, what memories to read the first story in the serie… Reminds me of all those autumn/winter nights at home when I was reading her mysteries in my candle lit room. The first story is written by Lucy Foley, such a delight. It’s books like this that make life better. Nothing like an Agatha Christie story to bring the holiday cheer.

And the first story was amazing, really enjoyed it but all of them where such snipets of the Christie universe. They brought such good memories and made life cozy for a bit.
